Make it!
PadParts.com is your one stop shop for DIY Drum Pads! We sell materials to custom produce your own drum pad. Drummers are crafty and many want and already do make their own pads. If you have ever bought raw materials and tried to cut a simple circle out of rubber, you know how hard it can be. Let us use our years of pad making experience and equipment to precision cut the raw materials to your desired size. We aim to be a one stop shop for most of your pad making adventures, though things like glue, oil, and Flex Seal can be purchased at your local hardware store. Whether it is a small knee strapped pad, a marching pad that feels like kevlar, or tenor and timpani pads, we can help! Please allow 5 business days from the time you place your order to receive a tracking number for shipping. Our shipping times will decrease as we increase inventory, but as we get started, we are cutting from raw materials each order to conserve as much material as possible. Thank you!

THE SHORE SCALE
There are 3 Shore Hardness Scales – Shore 00, Shore A and Shore D. Shore 00 measures rubbers and gels that are very soft, like a gel insole. The Shore A Hardness Scale measures the hardness of softer more flexible materials that range from very soft and flexible to extra hard with almost no flexibility at all. Semi-rigid plastics can also be measured on the higher end of the Shore A Scale at 90-95A. Shore A is the most commonly used scale. The Shore D Hardness Scale measures the hardness of hard rubbers, semi-rigid plastics and hard plastics, such as those used in a PVC Pipe. There are overlaps between the scales as seen below, a material with a hardness of A95 is also a Shore D50.
ForesColor
ForesColor is a through-color wood fiber panel. Individual fibers are impregnated with organic dye and chemically bonded by resin specially developed to give the panel its special properties. ForesCOLOR is an evolution of MDF and fits somewhere between a wood fiber board and a solid surface, because of the specially formulated resin within the board.
Raw Materials:
From the very beginning a rigorous selection of raw material is carried out. Wood, pigments and glues are carefully selected. ForesCOLOR is made exclusively of pine wood. The glue is exclusively developed in association with a resin manufacturer. It is mainly made of a synthetic resin formed by melamine urea-formaldehyde. ForesCOLOR is certified E0 (Low on formaldehyde). Exhaustive research was carried out in order to obtain color stability, minimum toxicity whilst keeping in mind ecological factors.
